A "badmouth" is a person who criticize others spitefully. Disparage unfairly, and tearing down others maliciously. In Jamaica, the Idiom for these kinds of people is "frog mouth" or "Goat mouth" This is an envious person, who decided to rob others of their impending blessing. By defaming, the person continually. Always putting in a word here and there for the person destruction. Stopping your promotion on the job. Changing the mind of a woman, toward a man. Changing the opinion of the whole community concerning a person or people.
CONFRONT HIM OR HER
You have to find a way to verbally disembowels this king of frog mouth, before he or she cause irreparable damage to your characters. You could loose every thing you work for. This person dung on your name. A Church in my community wanted a pastor, the board of director came together, and decided that I should be the one to pastured that church, since I came from the same community, and have hundreds of people included families there. One deacon got up and changes their mind. An expert bad mouth. Then he came back and told me that an opportunity was coming for me, but him "Sheg me" "Sheg" is the Jamaican word for, "F## you up" he sit down with a sarcastic smile on his face. The Church already ordained me and told me to wait on the same opportunity. I waited for one year, and in two minutes this man, killed the whole deal.
SHUTTING DOWN A BAD MOUTH
Psa 140:11 Do not let an evil speaker be established in the earth; evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
A bad mouth starting out as a joke. A joke cracker. Using wise cracks, put down, sarcasm and bating. If the victim waits until this person gains a following, it will be too late. A bad mouth starts out as a court jester. Amusements to other at the expense of a victim. It is harassment. The victim must find the strength to smash him verbally the same day he or she starts. You have to have a way to verbally gut a bad mouth, without using treats. "Are you threatening me" "No I am promising you"What does people like you use you mouth for? I have seen people like you lying down in the gutter with their mouth full of ants. You just got here, and look at the trouble you cause. A bad mouth can poison the atmosphere in the work place, and robbed the company of serenity. You have to stop a bad mouth any way you can.
RUN AND QUIT
If the bad mouth is in too deep, and you cannot dislodged him, leave the seen. Because you will never reach any where among such. Even prostitutes have a time when they run. Run fast, run far, and run long.
Jas 3:8 But no one can tame the tongue, it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.
