The Secret Of Power In The Christian’s Life Is To Yield To The Holy Spirit

By Dr.James. A McBean D.Th., MCC
M any Christians boasted of being filled with the Holy Spirit, but being filled with the Holy Spirit and yielding to the Holy Spirit is another things. It is not the filling that count but the yielding. The person that you yield to owns you. The danger of not yielding to the spirit of God, is that if we continue to rebel, Satan spirits will led us off the path and people think that we are demons possess.
Romans 8:14 (KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The spirit of God is going to remind you of these things, or these verses above. Yielding to the Holy Spirit is also yielding to the reveal word of scriptures. One person who run me from my first apartment in the United States. This person welfare checks turn up into my mail at my new address. Satan spirit say” Burn it up” The spirit of God say” Take her check to her or at least give it back to the post office.
I drove twelve miles to give her, her welfare check. That is what it means to yield to the Holy Spirit. One sister in Bible school was giving me a lot of trouble; we just could not get on. One day in class, the Holy Spirit speak to me and say” Give the sister behind you the two dollars you have in your wallet. I look behind me and saw who it was, I say hell! Give the woman who keep riding me my final two dollars? Then I went and handed her the two dollars.
I say sister “M The Lord would want me to give you my two dollars” She took it and looked at me deeply. Half hour later she returns, crying. She say to me that her husband is at home sick and sent to tell her to return home for the week, and she do not have two dollars for taxi. None of the other students has two dollars to lend her. Therefore, I know that the lord did speak to you.
Luke 6:46 (NKJV) "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?
WHAT IT MEAN TO BE LED BY THE SPIRIT AND YIELDING TO THE SPIRIT!
Prov 24:17-18 (NKJV) Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; 18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him, And He turn away His wrath from him.
Prov 3:28-30 (NKJV) Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you. 29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety's sake. 30 Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm.
Romans 6:13 (KJV) Neither yields you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:16 (KJV) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Romans 6:19 (KJV) I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world

b [he will flee from you] Four promises to backsliders:

1 Cor. 2:12 (KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
John 16:13 (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKS TO PETER.
THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKS TO PHILIP.
2 Chron. 18:23 (KJV) Then Zedekiah the son of Chanukah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee?
WHAT HAPPEN TO US WHEN WE REFUSES THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?
If we refuse to fallow the leading of the spirit of God, We will believe Satan's spirit to be the Holy Spirit. When a Christians constantly disobey the witness of the Holy Spirit, Satanic spirit gradually take control of that believer, and the believer became contrary and lost.
Isaiah 63:10 (KJV) But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
GOD WINS THE BATTLE WITH BREAD.
[13] And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. [14] Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. [15] And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? [16] And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. [18] And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
[19] And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. [20] And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria. [21] And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? [22] And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master. [23] And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.
Sometime Only Jesus Can Help Us

Acts 4:12 (KJV)Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Romans 5:6 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:7 (KJV) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:9 (KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:10 (KJV) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:11 (KJV) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Matthew 6:33-AV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
