C hristians suffer stagnating because they did not see their hearts to know the Holy Scriptures. It is important to know the Holy Spirit, but it is also important to know the holy scriptures. If you do not know the scriptures, you will be driven about by every wind of doctrines. Today you are a Jehovah’s witness, tomorrow you are a Seven Day Adventist, and the following day you are back in sin right where you were taking from. God want you to remain in your calling, stay where you were saved.

Eph. 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Invest time and money in a good bible, and spend time reading it. Your inner man need three meals per day just like your body.

Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

1 Tim. 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine ) ( The scriptures show you where to walk)

( Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

HERE IS THE KEY TO UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES.

The scriptures are loaded down with idioms, terminologies, and parables if the believers do not understand the terminologies use in scriptures they will never understand the scriptures. For example, what does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

St John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life

One cannot understand what it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit if he she do not understand the terminology that use in the Bible. The terminologies are Eastern in nature, and are not readily known by people of other hemisphere. “Terminology.” 1 a word or phrase used to describe a thing or to express a concept. 2 (terms) language used on a particular occasion: a protest in the strongest possible terms. “Filled with the spirit” “ Spirit Be in you” Spirit be upon you”” Walk in the spirit” “Live in the spirit”” The Spirit fall upon them” “You are the temple of the Spirit” “You are the body of Christ”” Baptize in the spirit” All these are terminologies and does not mean literally what it says.

Let us look at a few English idioms, “ The man jump ship” This does not mean that the person jump off a ship. It mean that the person change his or her route of action quickly. “I hear it right from the horse mouth” This does not mean that a horse has spoken but it mean that the person hear it from a very good source. “He went over board” This does not mean that the person fall off a ship. It mean the person over did themselves or says too much. “He made her crawl up the wall” “He went through the roof” The horse already gone through the gate”“ He hears it right from the horse mouth” This does not mean that a horse has spoken, but it mean that the person hears it from a good source. All these are idioms and do not mean literally what it says. You will not understand what it means to be filled with the spirit if you do not understand the terminology and idioms use in the bible,. I am just laying the groundwork at this time. Let us look at a few Idioms that are use in the bible.

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. “Turn the other cheek is an Eastern Idioms. It mean to do every thing in your power to avoid hostilities between you and your neighbors even to the point of taking the wrong if that will bring about the peace. In addition, does not literally mean that if somebody is raping your wife you must stand there looking and do nothing about it. Some bullies beating you up on the street you must bend over, this is not what it is talking about. 1 Cor. 6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? “Turning the other cheek,” Mean to take the wrong even though you are not the one at fault.

“FILL WITH THE SPIRIT”

“ Fill with the spirit” mean fill with the word, walk in the spirit mean walk in the word. It means to align your life with the written words. When you made it a custom for you to react accordingly to the word. There is another terminology that is use for this” You are walking in newness of life” Only fill husband can love wife and fill wife submit to husband. One woman said that her sister make cockroach sandwich give to her husband. Shout and made noise in Church is not an evidence of being filled. It is how you live when you go home.

Ephes. 5:18-25 (KJV) And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; [19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; [20] Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; [21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. [22] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. [25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

What does it mean to be drunk? How does one fill with wine? Fill with wine and drunken with wine is the same thing. It means to be overcame by and brought under the influence and control of alcohol beverage. Once one is brought under the influence of alcohol beverage their thinking and natural behaviors will automatically be altered accordingly to how much of the stuff they had consumed.

“Filled with wine do not mean that if you cut the person intestine open you are going to see the wine,. “Walk in the spirit is a terminology, which means to walk in the word, walk in the word is other terminologies which mean to live accordingly to the written word. Make the word your new concept and manner of life. Pattern your life after the word.

Galatians 5:16 (KJV) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:25 (KJV) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

THIS VERSE PROV 3: 28 RAPS THE WHOLE THING UP.

Proverbs 3:28 (KJV) Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

Live in the spirit mean to be in the word daily. Walk in the spirit mean to do what the word say. One young man in one of our church keep walking and trembling his hand all day, one pastor asks him what is the meaning of that? He say he is walking in the spirit, the pastor look on him and say”, You are fill with demons Acts 17:28 (KJV) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

It is us that must be in him, it is how much of us He got. Triumphant Christian’s life depends on the holy spirit, and you need to know about him and how he works among his people.

WHAT ABOUT THE PENTECOSTAL EXPERIENCE OF SPEAKING IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost is not the first such experience. It happens over and over again in the Old Testament, except the speaking of other language. That gift was not necessary (then) since the prophets and saints would be ministering to the people of the same language. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Old Testament saints only happens to special people whom God call for a specific job. Observe that every time the Holy Spirit came upon people there was something that they did following the outpouring. Ezekiel 11:5 (KJV) And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the Lord; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. Judges 3:10 (KJV) And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the Lord delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim.

Judges 6:34 (KJV) But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him. Judges 11:29 (KJV) Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon.

Judges 14:19 (KJV) And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house. 1 Samuel 16:13 (KJV)

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. Judges 14:5-6 (KJV)

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. [6] And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

[Spirit of the LORD came upon him]

This explains how God raised up deliverers for Israel. The Holy Spirit would come upon them, inspire them, and endue them with power to accomplish God's purpose. It is the same thing; New Testament saints receive the outpouring for service. And not just to make noise in Church.

Acts 1:8 (KJV) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1 Cor. 2:12 (KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

The Christian life will not get easy until you understand the word and flow in it.

GETTING TO KNOW THE GENUINE HOLY SPIRIT.

God is going to give you a token. This token is how he will communicate to you. Until you get this token, made no decisions on your life. Bad decisions take down many Christians, and bad decision can only be over come by knowing how God the Holy Spirit will communicate to you. Christians became stagnant and run into all kind of troubles years after they were saved, and one of the primary reasons are, because they did not set their heart to know the genuine Holy Spirit. They did not set out to know the Holy Spirit from the false ones that flies freely in the Churches posing to be the Holy Spirit.

I am talking about yielding to him, having him doing in your life what he really came to do. You must Know the things that bring Christians down. Christians fall prey to cults, fall into bad marriage, fall into hard times, making bad decisions and, taking to many abuses from other Christians. We need to practice fasting a praying so as to get binding and losing powers, Or the enemies will keep us out of job, and we fall into hard times. These are things that the Holy Spirit could have helped you with.

The Holy Spirit came to give his people power, to live and serve. He came to show you things to come. He came to guide you out of bad marriage, and to prevent you from making bad decisions, by revealing to you that you are walking into a trap. The church is full of cover up people. Some people was burnt out in Satan’s motels they came to church, looking for a mate to nurse them. These learn the right time to shout, and the correct time to jump, then they put on Christians clothing, false tooth, false nose and come home to papa Jesus. The Holy Spirit job is to show us this trap

IF WE DID NOT SEE THE TRAP IN TIME.

2 Cor. 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Many Christians do not know when the Holy Spirit is talking to them, they think it is their mind, or they think this is what the other person is thinking. Zech. 4:6-7 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

SPIRITUAL FOOD GROUPS.

2 Tim. 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(1) DOCTRINES.

doctrine 1. A principle or body of principles presented for acceptance or belief, as by a religious, political, scientific, or philosophic group; dogma. 2. A rule or principle of law, especially when established by precedent.

Luke 4:32 (KJV) And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

All the other four groups cut like a knife. Christians in the USA call these “OUCHES”

(2) REPROVE.

. (v.) To criticize for a fault or offense: • reprimand • admonish • call down • chide • rebuke • reproach • tell off • bawl out (colloquial) • chew out (slang) • dress down • lambaste (slang)

2 Tim. 4:2 (KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

(3) CORRECTION.

correction 1. The act or process of correcting. 2. Something offered or substituted for a mistake or fault: made corrections in the report. 3.a. Punishment intended to rehabilitate or improve. b. corrections. The treatment of offenders through a system of penal incarceration, rehabilitation, probation, and parole, or the administrative system by which these are effectuated.

Proverbs 3:11 (KJV) My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: Proverbs 15:10 (KJV) Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Titus 2:15 (KJV) These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

(4) INSTRUCTION in righteousness.

in·struc·tion (¹n-str¾k“sh…n) n. Abbr. instr. 1. The act, practice, or profession of instructing. 2.a. Imparted knowledge. b. An imparted or acquired item of knowledge; a lesson.

Proverbs 13:18 (KJV) Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

(5) EXHORTATION.

ex·hor·ta·tion 1. The act or an instance of exhorting. 2. A speech or discourse that encourages, incites, or earnestly advises.

2 Tim. 4:2 (KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Only few Christians can take the correctional part of the word of God, If the preacher preaches certain topics, the church goes empty. Most preachers in USA Today are only preaching a prosperity kind of gospel, because that seems to entertain the people. Any thing the preacher said about sex it offend people. Some of them do not even wait to hear what you were saying before they got offended. For you and I to be triumphant in the faith we must expose ourselves to all sections of the word of God.

“”OUCHES,, OUCHES, OUCHES”””
