"Ten Reasons Why Christians Cast Off Their faith"

H ow does one fight a battle, and how does one win a war? Fighting a battle and winning a war is two different things. In fighting a war, you have to have spies, among the enemies. You will need to know what weapon the enemies have. You do not want to go on the battle field with bows and arrows when the enemies have m16 rifles ,RPG, and new Clare bombs. You need spies and counter spies among the enemies. You need to have a good spy system in place. If you know what the enemies have, they probably know what you got.
It is the same thing in fighting the spiritual battle, for the soul of men. Satan in trying to take down Christians, done so by long term planning. Satan is going to attack you in three arias of you life, with four different method, and in ten different ways.
Living the Christian life can be as easy as drinking a cup of coffee and it can be a s hard as fighting a crocodile. The life became easy when you know how, it remain hard if you do not know what to do. Before we begin the study. I want to explain what I planned to do. I want to point out the main things that cause Christians to backslided, and show you how to deal with them. If you know how to deal with those problems. It therefore, ceases to be a problem.
EYES AMONG THE ENEMIES:
If you have eyes among the enemies, you can fend off a surprise attack. One of the first attack is in the arias of relationship with people. Satan is going to do every thing in his power, to give you a bad name. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to speak a word in season.
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
Recently, my job decide to retrained many of us to work in the Alzheimer unit. I was also chosen to work in that unit. As we receive the training, it open up to me another dark side of human beings. Giving a patient good care before a family member, might just be the thing that causes the family member to be upset” How dare you giving a better care to my father than what I would have done” I remember giving care to a patient years ago. From he got sick no body talked to him, after awhile he stop talking, they say he was mute. I came working with him, he begin talking and laughing. They find something to blame me for and take me off the case. “How dare you win my father affection more than I!” But the thing is, you not talking to him, he was a solder, and you do not want to hear any of his war stories, if he start talking they turn the whole thing into one big argument. Therefore, if you do good among some people, it could be the very thing why they hate you. To get the victory in this conditions, you have to be tuned into the Holy Spirit so he can show you the people that you are dealing with heart and soul.
1Timothy 1:9-AV Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1Timothy 1:10-AV For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
Remember we are talking about the things that cause Christians to backslided. This take us to the first reasons. We need to be in good relationship with the spirit of God, so he can lead us into all the truth.
(1) FAILURE TO STUDY AND KNOW THE GENUINE HOLY SPIRIT:
1Corinthians 2:12-AV Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
The Holy Spirit is our know how, our eyes among Satan camp
The first and foremost reason why Christians backslided is because they fails to hear from the Holy Spirit. And this happen because they have sin against him, in such a way that they lost contact with him. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, we will fall into bad marriages. Bad marriage causes the backsliding of countless Christians yearly.
Satan full the Church with a lot of people to serve as an emissary for him. Some people came to Church after they burnt themselves out in Satan’s motel. Some have hepatic a, b and c. These people are not honest, they are not going to tell you, where they have been. You have to know how the Holy Spirit communicate to his people, so you can know what you are jumping into. Some of them are homosexuals, and bio-sexual. And still are, even though they claim to be born again. Some people who came to Church and are speaking in tongues do not even believe in the virgin birth of Christ. This book will not teach you how the Holy Spirit communicate to his people. I have another book on that. We will now look into what those sins against the Holy Spirit are.
THERE ARE TEN SINS AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT:
There are ten sins that Christians commit against the holy spirit. 1 Tim. 2:9; 1 Tim. 3:2; Titus 2:4,6,12. The Holy Ghost Can Be
1.Resisted (Acts 7:51)
We resist the Holy Spirit by resisted Godly teachers that God sent to you. Several time I heard Christians say” Since that man came into the service, he is sitting down on the service” What actually happen, is this. The Holy Spirit told the person who is moderating the service.
To let such a person sing, or give a testimonies, or preach the sermon for the day. Because of covetousness, the person refuses, because the person refuses, the Holy Spirit withdrew from the service and the service, and a dead feeling come upon the congregation. This they blame upon the person who just came in, but actually the cause is upon another disobedient Christians. This is one way of resisting the Holy Spirit.
2.Tempted (Acts 5:9)
We temp the Holy Spirit when we deliberate making trouble for the people that God sent to lead us. Like korah and Moses. Like the people who Paul turn over to Satan.
3.Lied to (Acts 5:3-4)
4.Grieved (Ephes. 4:30)
We grieve the Holy Spirit when we grieve the people in whom he dwell.
5.Blasphemed (Matthew 12:31-32)
Some people believe that a Christian cannot blaspheme the Holy Spirit, it is only a backslider can do it. This is to attribute work that the Holy Spirit is doing through his people to Satan. For, example, I wrote this book. And if one should say It is Satan that told me to wrote it. Are the book is not glorifying God.
6.Insulted (Hebrews 6:4-6; Hebrews 10:26-29)
One time some church people ask me to speak at the Church one Thursday night to their young people. At the same time it was a tapp, because they have another man who suppose to preach. In some cases they even tell the person what to preach. However, the Holy Spirit already told me that they were going to do that.
I have been seeking the lord for a sermon, and no sermon came. Finally, the lord told me that I am not going to preach, it is a trap. However, I must still go because If I do not go they will blame me. When I go I take a low seat. The pastor and his wife, sit where they could monitor my facial expressions. When the service over I went an gave a love offering to the speaker and went to my house.
7.Quenched (1 Thes. 5:19)
Quenching the Holy Spirit is done by trying to cool down a zealous Christian. Doing and saying things to cause discouragement. They tried to stop me from doing my books and tracts. They attacked every thing right down to the grammar and spelling. I only send the books and tracts into different arias. No stopping. All of the sins against the Holy Spirit, is done
8.Vexed (Psalm 78:40; Isaiah 63:10)
Any time you reaches the stage where you begin to vex God’s people. Put them to the point where they begin to get loud. And almost have a physical fight, you are bout being drop by God the Holy Spirit. Any time you cause others to backslided, by being a stumbling block, and a marriage breaker. God cut you lose.
9.Quieted (Zech. 6:8)
We can have Fellowshipped with the Holy Spirit are choose to have dis-fellowship. (Phil. 2:1)
LISTEN WITH THE EARS OF YOUR SOUL:
Isaiah 30:21-AV And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
NO VICTORY WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Zechariah 4:6-AV Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:7-AV Who [art] thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone [thereof with] shoutings, [crying], Grace, grace unto it.
GO ON TO KNOW THE LORD:
Hosea 6:1-AV Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. Hosea 6:2-AV After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 6:3-AV Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain unto the earth.
Without the Holy Spirit guiding you, you will end up int a bad marriage. There are two faces people, who will lead you on, and put themselves in positions where you trusted, then put their name on your resume, hoping that they will give a good words for you to get that job and they sink you. You will need to know these beloved enemies, this is where the holy spirit came in, to revel all the secrets of men’s heart to you. Many people swear to God that they had me fooled. I told one person what they been doing to me from many years back. The person say” You know all that and still been helping me? You could have kill me if you wanted”
Psalm 130:3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
If I should bear a grudge against people for what they have done and say about me, I would not have any friend. We have to salvage people. Find one good thing about them, and look at that instead of looking and the bad things about them.
(2) DID NOT ADD TO THEIR FAITH:
2Peter 1:5-AV And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 2Peter 1:6-AV And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 2Peter 1:7-AV And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 2Peter 1:8-AV For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Peter 1:9-AV But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 2Peter 1:10-AV Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
(3) CHRISTIANS BACKSLIDED BECAUSE THEY TAKES TO MANY PUNCHES:
There are time when we must fight and time when we must flee. Many Christians do not know when to run, and they stay there taking punches until the enemy beat them into weakness. Unnecessarily beating will make you feel unworthy. Unworthiness is the killer of many Christians. Any conditions that you are into as a child of God and if you begin to feel wasted, go find something do. One talented sister in Bronx New York was put down to rusty by her church, she finally went out and start A church on her own. Today she is bigger that the organization that was keeping her down. Since I put my web sites up, and installed a tracking device. People from countries that I have never heard about is reading my work. I heard from people as far as Afghanistan.” Lift up your head and look, behold the field are ripe already unto the harvest”
Matthew 10:23-AV But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
GOD DID NOT GIVE ANY MAN ANY MANDATE TO BEAT UPON HIS PEOPLE:
1Chronicles 16:20-AV And [when] they went from nation to nation, and from [one] kingdom to another people; 1Chronicles 16:21-AV He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, 1Chronicles 16:22-AV [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
OUR LORD DID NOT TAKE ANY UNNECESSARILY BEATING:
Luke 4:29-AV And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. Luke 4:30-AV But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
THE APOSTLES DID NOT TAKE ANY UNNECESSARILY BEATING:
Acts 14:4-AV But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles. Acts 14:5-AV And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use [them] despitefully, and to stone them, Acts 14:6-AV They were ware of [it], and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: Acts 14:7-AV And there they preached the gospel.
(4) REFUSING TO DEFEND THEIR FEEDING SOURCE"
The third reasons why Christians backslide, are we sit back and watch people run our teachers out of town, and refuse to joins the fight. When inspired teachers leave, the others cannot help because they has no vision.
American Christians sit back and let Muslims do the fighting for them. Issues that we are suppose to be fighting, we sit back and let others do our fighting. Recently the lord show me. If I am teaching any group of Christians, it is their responsibility to defend me and help me if they benefit from my ministry. If they refused to stand up. I am free to walk away and leave them. They say that they are filled with the Holy Spirit, so where is the boldness, and power?
Proverbs 28:1-AV The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
(5) CANNOT OVER CAME CERTAIN SINS:
Another reason why Christians backslided is that they reach a point in their life where they could not overcome certain sins. The same way how the children of Israel could not drive out certain enemy, it is the same thing with us. Some sins we overcame them by the written words. Some we overcame them with prayer and fasting. Some with time, as we continue to serve the lord, we do not even know when we stop doing certain things.
We just grow out of some things, like a child grow out of his or her clothing. Smart Christians do not backslide because they find themselves doing the same thing over and over again. The lord when he save us give us time,
1 Cor. 7:9 (KJV) But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
1 Cor. 7:9 a[But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn] It is best to have the gift of self-control, but for those who don't, "it is better to marry than to burn."
b[contain] Greek: engkrateuomai (), have self-control; have command of the passions and appetites. Only here and in 1 Cor. 9:25, but in the Septuagint in Genesis 43:31; 1 Samuel 13:12.
c[burn] Greek: puroo (), to burn; be aflame (1 Cor. 7:9; 2 Cor. 11:29; Ephes. 6:16; 2 Peter 3:12; Rev. 1:15; Rev. 3:18). Here it means to have difficulty controlling the passions. In such a case, it would be better to marry.
(6) SERVING GOD FOR STUFF:
Serving God for the thing of this world, you will not reach far before Satan cut you down. If Job was serving God for material things, he would have given up.
Job 1:8-AV And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Job 1:9-AV Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
If you serve God for stuff, you will be defeated by Satan, and eventually became angry at God. God will give you your daily food, but he is not too concerning with making you too comfortable in this world. At the same time he want you to prosper, as your soul prospereth and accordingly to your ability. God will not prevent you from prospering in any way. However, filing up you bank account so you have money to spent on prostitutes is not a part of the bargain. You might want material wealth, while God want to give you spiritual riches.
Job 1:10-AV Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. Job 1:11-AV But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. Job 1:12-AV And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath [is] in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Satan children has set up a system in this world, that make it almost impossible for any Child of God to survive. Christians has a change life style. This change of lifestyle, has cause many people to feel condemn. “Men despised other men that had qualities that they themselves do not have. Because of this, the world hate Christians, they cannot do without you, but do not want you. Within the church, certain Christians do not like zealous Christians, because the zealous Christians with his or her ceaseless effort to work for Christ, causes other none zealous Christians to feel like something is wrong with them. When they begin to feel this way, they react with contemp for you, at the same time you are not doing any thing wrong, but doing your spiritual duty of converting people and making the world a better and safer place to live.
(7) FALLING PREY TO BAD MARRIAGE.
If believers run into a bad marriage it is over. Look up on our articles about marriages, and how to set up an relationship that work. If you are a Christians, and you are planning to get married. Do not marry out of your calling. If you are involve in a prison ministry, the person that you marry must already be involve in it before you meet them. do not marry to somebody then think they will joins you in your ministry, they will only be an appositions to you. It is not their ministry, a ministry is a burden. I spent more than ten hours per week on the computer writing books and articles. It upset my wife, but I have been doing this before I met her some twenty seven years ago.
This is my only purpose in life, If I am not doing this I do not want to live. But, you will never be able to bring this message across to a spouse, a ministry is a burden. You got the calling to go to a jungle in Africa to live a among pygmies, then get your spouse to pull up and fallow you, the marriage will split, you will have to find somebody who is already doing the same thing that you were call to do.
So marriage for the born again does not go by looks, nor by falling in love. Make sure the person have your ministerial calling. Make sure the person has the same sexual preferences as you. Make sure the person is sexually compatible with you. Sex always win. Some people want it one time per months, some want it two times per day. Some people do not want sex at all, but all want to get married.
(8) FALLING PREY TO BAD PASTORS.
Many pastors only want people to be good bench members, and good tithes payers, any time you begin to grow spiritually and begin to come up to their level, then they see you as treats to their authority and they begin to plan you spiritual downfall. Are find a way to assassinate your character. Do you want to know who love you in the church? Come up to their level.
Numbers 11:26-29 (KJV) But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp. [27] And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. [28] And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them. [29] And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!
Any time you come of spiritual age, and can now prophesy in the camp, you will see how holy and how righteous your church leaders and brethren are, you suddenly find yourself in a pit of scorpions. Exodus 18:21 (KJV) Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
Acts 20:29-30 (KJV) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. [30] Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
2 Cor. 11:13-15 (KJV) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. [14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. [15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
3 John 1:9-11 (KJV) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. [10] Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church. [11] Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Isaiah 56:10-11 (KJV) His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. [11] Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
(9) PICKING UP A DEMONS BECAUSE HE SHE FAILED TO KNOW THE GENUINE HOLY SPIRIT.
Acts 16:16-22 (KJV) And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: [17] The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. [18] And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
[19] And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers, [20] And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city, [21] And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. [22] And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.
1 John 4:1-3 (KJV) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. [2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
Satan has learn a new trick since this verse was written
1 John 4: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
If a false prophet came in the church saying that Jesus was never came in the flesh we would have known them right away. Demons are saying it now. Demons even believe in God.
James 2:19 (KJV) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
It is not every thing that you see making noise, speaking in tongues, and acting up is the holy spirit. In fact the Genuine holy spirit do not even behave that way. This is the number one killers of Christians, picking up an evil spirt that is claiming to be the holy spirit. Another death of Christians is picking up a demons poses spouses and thinking that he she was filled with the genuine Holy Spirit.
(10) THEIR SEX URGES GET THE BETTER OF THEM.
1 Tim. 5:14 (KJV) I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
1 Cor. 7:1-5 (KJV) Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. [2] Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. [3] Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. [4] The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. [5] Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
If you have a sex urges, you must read up on the subject and find a mate, because the sex drive will always win. And if my reader is a woman, you must stop telling men that you married to Jesus, because men interpret this that you mean you do not want to get and husband. I knock at one sister door for some three years, and she keep telling me no. Finally the day when I am getting married to somebody else she drop her self on the floor and start roiling and crying, play around too much. If you have need of a man and a man come proposing, pray about it, and then grab it. Sex urges never loose.
(11) HANGING ON TO THINGS THAT BELONG TO SATAN.
Now the first thing that you will need to do after getting save, is search your home and life. Any talisman, guard, are any thing that you have in your possession that represent the occult, you will need to get rid of it. Any clothing that you have that you use to wear to Satan worship, if you were going to Satan church, you need to burn it. Any books an the occult. Then you need to forgave others, and ask for fogginess of some. If you were sleeping with Jx wife, only stop. Do not go confess it, go confessing it will only bring more trouble, some thing better left bury.
TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD.
1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.

FINDING OUT YOUR CALLING
When I was newly save, the believers always, ask me if I know the will of God for my life! I never really know what they were talking about. Every person that was saved had a mission and a gift. However, because you are just a babe in Christ you do not know any of these. As you go on with the lord his will for you will unfolds day bay day. Do not run off and make any big commitment. Your mate has to be tailor made for you by God. You are now a citizen of heaven. Heaven does not rule by democracy. You cannot serve God with democratic mind set.
WHAT YOU MUST DROP OFF.
Hebrews 12:1 (Living Bible) Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.
Ephes. 4:31 (Living Bible) Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.
Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.
GET A GOOD BIBLE, FIND A GOOD CHURCH.
One of the best Bibles out there is the New King James Version. Dake’s annotated Bible is very good. Next, you need a living bible to make some thing simple.
Hebrews 10:25 (Living Bible) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
DROP THE BAD HABITS.
Drop the smoking, even though we cannot prove it to be a sin. You are going to be sitting down beside other church going people; they do not want to be smelling the odor from smoking on you.

Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Seven Ways that People Can Spoil Christians:
1. Through philosophy (Col. 2:8)
2. Through vain deceit (Col. 2:4,8,18-19)
3. Through human traditions (Col. 2:8)
4. Through human religion and world principles contrary to the gospel (Col. 2:8,14-23; note, §Galatians 4:3)
5. Through circumcision (Col. 2:11-13; Acts 15:1; Romans 4:9-16; Galatians 5:1-11)
6. Through the law of Moses, demanding observance of the laws on meats, drinks, holy days, new moons, feasts, and sabbaths (Col. 2:14-17)
7. Through cults that puff up and imitate the gospel (Col. 2:18-23)
By all these means, unsuspecting souls are being carried off as plunder and booty by false teachers. The founders of false religions and human philosophies which pamper the flesh and give their victims elated feelings of importance make an appeal to them.
Christianity is loaded down with some false concept. Some little believe system, which are spread by false believers. One of such teaching is that you must “Look like Christians” How does Christians look? Genuine Christianity is not an external thing but of the heart and spirit.
Micah 6:8 (KJV)He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
When cults capture a newly converted Christians, the cult first job on that new believer is to close their mind. Preventing the new believer from reading any material from other churches. So that new believer will never get out of their trap.

Philip. 3:20-21 (KJV)For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Romans 8:23 (KJV) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Our bodies were not save at conversion. The work of redemption took place in your spirit man. Our body will be redeemed at the return of our lord. We are still waiting for the redemption of our body.
According to Philip 3:20-21 and Romans 8:23. You are still going to have urges. You have to present your body to the lord as a living sacrifice. Not dead one. Living sacrifice give trouble, you will have trouble keeping that body tied to the altar. However, as you and I grow in the lord what seem impossible will be quite possible.
