What To Do When People Set Out To Get You.

P eople find it hard to live without a scape goat, a fall guy, somebody to talk about, and to unload their failures on. Then! they look for the best among us, somebody who is superior to them, to come down upon.
My wife and I were the youngest married couple in our community. Grand fathers were still living in common law marriage relationship. My decision to get married shamed them. They never did like me. They all have a negative perception of me. “He is a little show off” Now! What bothers me was this. Every time I spoke to somebody, somewhere in their reply to me they mention “prison” As times goes by I found out that one man in the community told the people that he was in prison and I was his prison mate. “Now I show up in this community with a virgin wife, acting like I am somebody, when I am only a common prison bird.” The man put himself in the shame just to drag me down into it. My wife requests that I requested a police record from the Jamaica Constabulary force. In those days it took three months to arrive . . . “This name has never appeared on our criminal list” My wife weeps! And wonder why people so wicked.
If people set out to get you, they will get you. Once you know that people are trying to bring you down, at your earliest convenient you must flee. We saw where the apostles of Jesus flee.
Acts 14:5 (KJV) And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them, Acts 14:6 (KJV) They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: Acts 14:7 (KJV) And there they preached the gospel.
People keep accusing one of our popular singer of being a child molester. As soon as his final court case was over, he left the country. Now the stigmatization stops. We saw OJ refusing to flee and we saw what happens to him. Once people set out to get you, on the job, in school or in church, at your earliest convenient you must get out of there and flee,. Do not stay where people do not mean you any good. Do not hang around people who treat you with despised, because you will never rise to your ful potential.
“WATCH OUT FOR PAPER TRAILING”
What is “paper trailing”? This is a series of written complains. Always the same topic. For example, let use “sexual harassment” When people out to get you they will hit you with a series of the same complain. Therefore, over a period of time a stigma develops around your name. Once, this stigma is in place. You better watch your ##A$. The whole house is about to cave in on you. All of those letters of suspicions from here to mountain Kilimanjaro are going to emerge and your bacon is cook. There come a time brothers, when even the great, the strong and the wise must flee are facing the wrath of a devious and malicious enemy.
Pro 27:4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is overwhelming; but who is able to stand before envy?
