I Am one preacher who do not believe that I should set out to convert Muslims to Christianity. The Koran has enough about Jesus, that can point a Muslim to Jesus. For a Muslim to get Christianity from me, he or she has to come and ask for it. Once a person got religion I do not believe that I must go and force mine upon them. However, People keep migrating from Islam to Christianity, and from Christianity to Islam. However, when a person leave the Christians religions to the Islam, no body hunt he or she down and kill them, but leaving the Muslim religions and becoming a Christians take more courage and sacrifice for the Muslim who converted to Christianity. That person came under tremendous pressure. It take courage for a Muslim to be converted to Christianity because his life is at stake, we Christians should not make it harder for such.
1Pe 3:15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:
UNDERSTANDING THE PERSON’S BACKGROUND.
If you do not understand the doctrine of salvation. How a person is saved, from biblical prospective, do not even bother trying to bring Muslims to your faith. Once the person taste and see, they will make the necessarily sacrifice to serve the lord.
Psalm 34:8 (KJV) O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
RELIGIONS BASE ON FAITH AND BELIEFS.
The first things we want to understand before moving off in this study. Is that, religions are base on faith and beliefs. Just suppose you try to divorce your wife. The judge is going to want to know the reason for your decisions. You told the judge that is a dream you get. A vision or an angel told you that your wife is being unfaithful to you. The judge is going to drive you from his/her court room and see you as a fool. The Christians religion is base on Mary’s Vision and Joseph dream. The Muslim religion is base on Mohamed’s vision of an angel. There is no biblical record that proves that Mary is from the line of David which the Messiah is to come. And since Joseph is Jesus’s step father. We Christians believe and are sure that Jesus is the Messiah because we had our own revelation at conversion. But, the fact still remain that it is other people’s dream and visions we are biblically following, and that does not provide ground for us to fight each other.
Psalm 110:4 (KJV) The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:6 (KJV) As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS.
The way a person was brought up will prevent them from transitions easy. They will not be able to drop all their concept in just one visit to your altar of prayer. It is going to take a Muslim a life time to truly drop his four wives doctrine. You might say that is why conversion is a miracle because it make people became new, but does you and I became new all at once. Just take a look at your self and I take a look at myself.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT ASK MUSLIM WHO CONVERTED TO THE FAITH TO DO.
Do not teach Muslims who converted to the faith to disrespect their Koran. If the person really meet Jesus, nothing can really convince them otherwise. Do not teach them to abandoned old friends. Do not teach them to go confess Jesus right away. He she must go home and say nothing unless the Holy Spirit tells them to do so. The Holy Spirit will tell he/she when to start speak up. You want the other Muslims to see the changes in the person attitude, without being told what has happen and begin to ask question as to the new changes that come over him and the new peace that is upon the person.
DO NOT PUSH NEW MUSLIMS THAT CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY TO GO TELL OTHERS OF THEIR NEW FOUND FAITH.
Not because the scriptures encourage new believers to confess their faith. That does not mean you must put new converts in arms way. Will you employed that new believer? Does your church have a plan and supporting this new converts once his or her Muslim employer fired them? I am not hiding new convert from persecution, that will come in it own time. You want the others Muslims to see something in the person without being told and start wondering what come over bro Allah-Abdul, what bring about this new changes? He is a new man where attitudes are concern. He has compassion, he has love, he is now considerate, he is now kind and truthful, he is now patient and gentle, what happen to him? You might say "The lord will provide for that new converts that has lost his job because of his or her faith." And I will say "No you help them"
James 2:15-17 (Living) If you have a friend who is in need of food and clothing, [16] and you say to him, "Well, good-bye and God bless you; stay warm and eat hearty," and then don't give him clothes or food, what good does that do? [17] So you see, it isn't enough just to have faith. You must also do good to prove that you have it. Faith that doesn't show itself by good works is no faith at all--it is dead and useless.
ONE GROUP MUST GO TELL.
Mark 5:19 (KJV) Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
ANOTHER GROUP MUST NOT TELL UNTIL THE TIME COME.
Matthew 16:20 (KJV) Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
He /she is coming from a religion that was upon their sleeve, you do not want the new convert to start wearing Christianity upon his or her sleeves. Western Christian, Christianity is upon their mouth and sleeves, but is not seen in their mannerism. I do not tell people that I am a Christians nor a minister. I laugh and jokes with the boys. If you are going to look at my jokes you will never sees my Christianity. Even those who do not respect me as a Christian will walk pass every house and came to my house for help, because they saw kindness and concern in me. Do not stop Muslims who convert to Christianity from participate in their community activities. He or she is free to visit marriages, birth day party and so on. Christianity must not strangulate the person. We want other Muslims to see that Christianity offer more freedom than Islam. The Muslim believer who converted to Christianity do not responsible for whom his or her children want to marry or if they want to become Christians. Each person must make their own mind up.
DO NOT FORCE MUSLIMS CONVERTS TO DROP THEIR FOUR WIVES.
A group of missionary went to certain African village and convert the whole village to Jesus. The chieftain has many wives, these wives were daughters from other chieftain who were given to him to insure that they will not make war on each other. Sending back these women to their villages was consider an act of war. The missionary demand that the chieftain sending back these women and only keep one wife. The village that these women came from heard about it and waiting to kill the missionaries. Finally, the missionaries were killed and the faith was set back for another one hundred years among them. Our lord did not say much about the many wives in his days. The apostles did not say much about it either. Leave people with their custom. It will fall apart on its own.
I am not trying to say four wives is the way to go in this days and time. All I am trying to say, do not make people burn bridges until they see it fit to do so. If the lord choose to save certain people in certain life style then he must have some plan as how to get them out of that life stile if he think it is important.
UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURE.
Do not read into the scripture what was not written in it, and do not read out of it what was not written in it. Do not try to help God, God can help himself.
1 Tim. 3:2 (KJV) A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
1 Tim. 3:12 (KJV) Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
Titus 1:6 (KJV) If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
The word one wife is mention three times in the Bible. There was a reason for this, which. 1 Tim. 3:2 (Living) For a pastor must be a good man whose life cannot be spoken against. He must have only one wife, and he must be hard working and thoughtful, orderly, and full of good deeds. He must enjoy having guests in his home and must be a good Bible teacher.
1 Tim. 3:12 (Living) Deacons should have only one wife, and they should have happy, obedient families.
Titus 1:6 (Living) The men you choose must be well thought of for their good lives; they must have only one wife and their children must love the Lord and not have a reputation for being wild or disobedient to their parents.
WHY THE DEACON WERE CHOSEN AND SUPPOSE TO HAVE ONLY ONE WIFE.
Acts 6:1-3 (Living) But with the believers multiplying rapidly, there were rumblings of discontent. Those who spoke only Greek complained that their widows were being discriminated against, that they were not being given as much food in the daily distribution as the widows who spoke Hebrew. [2] So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. "We should spend our time preaching, not administering a feeding program," they said. [3] "Now look around among yourselves, dear brothers, and select seven men, wise and full of the Holy Spirit, who are well thought of by everyone; and we will put them in charge of this business. Acts 6:4 (Living) Then we can spend our time in prayer, preaching, and teaching."
Can you imagine seven deacons have four wives each, with six children each? They would use the churches food to take care of their families, then the church would be in the same dilemma that they were in before the deacons were chosen.
LET PEOPLE TASTE JESUS.
Psalm 34:8 (KJV) O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL REVEAL TO THE PERSON WHAT HE WANTS THEM TO DO.
John 16:13 (Living)When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
DO NOT PUT MUSLIM WHO NEWLY CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY TO BE BISHOP.
People has a way to go back to their community. Christians sometime can become very insipid in their thinking which will make a new converted person wanting to leave the religion. For example, I got save in charismatic group but leave it and went to Baptist group. Because the mentality of the charismatic sick my stomach. Muslims sometime go back and when they do they will take the church with them if they are the bishop. Christians are like sheep only few think and learn to use their mind. The think it is sin to question God and question the pastors.
DO NOT FILL MUSLIMS CONVERT WITH SPIRIT.
I seen when some people in the charismatic group got fill, many of them suddenly do not know what sex they are of.
THE LORD HAVE HIS PEOPLE IN EVERY GROUP.
Christ will bring them in his own time, do not rushes things, do not try to help God.
John 6:65 (KJV) And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 10:16 (KJV) And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Mark 9:38 (KJV) And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
SOMETIME ONLY JESUS CAN HELP US:
Matthew 6:33-AV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
LOOK AT THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING A CHRISTIAN:
How does a person become a Christian, and are sure that he/she is save? First the person must know that he/she is a sinner and need deliverance from the lord.
Romans 3:23 (KJV) for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Galatians 3:22 (KJV) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A GOD:
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD IS READY TO FORGIVE HIM:
Isaiah 55:7 (KJV)Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT CHRIST DIED FOR HIM:
Romans 5:6 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Cor. 15:3-8 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: [5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: [6] After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. [7] After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. [8] And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN KEEP HIM:
Ephes. 3:20 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Jude 1:24 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
PERFECTING THE SAINTS IS A WORK OF GOD:
1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.
THE SINNER MUST KNOW THAT ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE THEM:
Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
THE SINNER MUST MAKE A DECISION TODAY:
Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
2 Cor. 6:2 (KJV) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
BOW YOUR HEAD AND PRAY THIS PRAYER:
Lord I am a sinner and need your salvation. Forgive all my sins. I accept your son Jesus as my savior today.
We can sing with the song writer" I rise walk in heaven’s own light above the world and sin with heart made pure and garments white, and Christ en-throned with in. The cleansing stream I see I see I plunge, and O It cleans-eth me. O praise the Lord, it cleans-eth me, it cleans-eth me yes, cleans-eth me."
DROP ALL PRE-CONCEIVE IDEAS OF CHRISTIANITY:
Drop all preconceived ideas of Christianity because these conflict with the reality of Christianity. The lord will live the life through you day by day. You do not drop things from your life on your own. The spirit of God will walk you out of sins in his own time.
FIRST HUMBLING YOU:
Ephes. 2:8-9 (KJV)For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
If you stop sins and get holy before God’s timing you will begin to boast how it is your own magnetism got you so far, then you became a source of discouragement to others. Therefore, you are going to stuck upon a sin or two. The sin always getting the better of you. This will push you to always accept God’s grace, and to see your own frailness.
1 John 1:8 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD:
1 Peter 2:2 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.
FINDING OUT YOUR CALLING:
When I was newly save, the believers always, ask me if I know the will of God for my life! I never really know what they were talking about. Every person that was saved had a mission and a gift. However, because you are just a babe in Christ you do not know any of these. As you go on with the lord his will for you will unfolds day bay day. Do not run off and make any big commitment. Your mate has to be tailor made for you by God. You are now a citizen of heaven. Heaven does not rule by democracy. You cannot serve God with democratic mind set.
WHAT YOU MUST DROP OFF:
Hebrews 12:1 (Living Bible) Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.
Ephes. 4:31 (Living Bible) Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words, and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.
Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.
GET A GOOD BIBLE, AND FIND A GOOD CHURCH:
One of the best Bibles out there is the New King James Version. Dake’s annotated Bible is very good. Next, you need a living bible to make some thing simple.
Hebrews 10:25 (Living Bible) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM BEING SPOILED BY MAN:
Col. 2:8 (KJV)Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Hebrews 13:9 (KJV) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Seven Ways that People Can Spoil Christians:
1. Through philosophy (Col. 2:8)
2. Through vain deceit (Col. 2:4,8,18-19)
3. Through human traditions (Col. 2:8)
4. Through human religion and world principles contrary to the gospel (Col. 2:8,14-23; note, §Galatians 4:3)
5. Through circumcision (Col. 2:11-13; Acts 15:1; Romans 4:9-16; Galatians 5:1-11)
6. Through the law of Moses, demanding observance of the laws on meats, drinks, holy days, new moons, feasts, and sabbaths (Col. 2:14-17)
7. Through cults that puff up and imitate the gospel (Col. 2:18-23)
By all these means, unsuspecting souls are being carried off as plunder and booty by false teachers. The founders of false religions and human philosophies which pamper the flesh and give their victims elated feelings of importance make an appeal to them.
Christianity is loaded down with some false concept. Some little believe system, which are spread by false believers. One of such teaching is that you must “Look like Christians” How does Christians look? Genuine Christianity is not an external thing but of the heart and spirit.
Micah 6:8 (KJV)He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
When cults capture a newly converted Christians, the cult first job on that new believer is to close their mind. Preventing the new believer from reading any material from other churches. So that new believer will never get out of their trap.
YOUR HORMONE DOES NOT STOP WORKING WITH CHRISTIANITY:
Philip. 3:20-21 (KJV)For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Romans 8:23 (KJV) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Our bodies were not save at conversion. The work of redemption took place in your spirit man. Our body will be redeemed at the return of our lord. We are still waiting for the redemption of our body.
According to Philip 3:20-21 and Romans 8:23. You are still going to have urges. You have to present your body to the lord as a living sacrifice. Not dead one. Living sacrifice give trouble, you will have trouble keeping that body tied to the altar. However, as you and I grow in the lord what seem impossible will be quite possible.
