"HOW DO WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS REALLY THE MESSIAH"

T he Bible teaches that the believers faith can be overthrow. The Bible also teaches that the believers can fall from their own steadfastness, and it further teaches that the believers can be spoiled. We know that fall is not good, overthrown is not good, and spoiled is defiantly not good. Satan in his attempt to overthrowing the Christians faith, attacked the resurrection of Jesus and attacked the validity of the Bible. The enemy will have to prove that the accuracy of the Bible is false, and that the resurrection never happen. They failed in both account, so there is one more place that they can attack, they must prove that Jesus is not the Jewish Promise Messiah.

2 Tim. 2:18 (KJV) Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

2 Peter 3:17 (KJV) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

My son called and sound a little concerned. Some body point out to him that no where in the Bible is it proven that Jesus is from the linage of David. It said it but we cannot find any passage where we can actually connect Mary to the linage of David. Joseph, Jesus foster father can be trace back to David, but we cannot trace Mary back to David. In fact we cannot trace her any where. This hit me like a bomb, because the foundation of my faith was troubled. This is serious business. We cannot connect Jesus to David. This was what stumbling the Jews.

John 9:29 (KJV) We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.

"Christ ology, branch of Christian theology that deals with the person of Christ. Because Christ ology seeks to explain the saving work of Christ by explaining who the person Jesus was, in traditional Christian theology it logically precedes soteriology, the doctrine of Christ's saving work. In the actual history of the church, however,' soteriology preceded Christ ology, because the belief in Jesus' saving role led to claims about who he was. Christ ology is not the formulation of revealed propositions as much as it is the Christian response to the phenomenon of Jesus (see Confession)" Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia Standard 2004.

Col. 2:8 (KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Matthew 1:18 (KJV) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

MARY’S CONSENT WERE NEEDED.

Luke 1:36-38 (KJV) And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. [37] For with God nothing shall be impossible. [38] And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

WHY GOD SEEM TO HIDE MARY BLOOD LINE.

Genesis 3:15 (KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

SATAN TRIES TO KILL THE BLOOD LINE.

Satan has tried several time to destroy or corrupt the blood line of the Messiah, to prevent him from coming. We see cane killed Abel. Sarai was barren. Then Sarai’s son Isaac wife Rebekah was barren. Then Rachel was also barren, and all these barren female could only be cured by a miracle, because Satan was behind it. Genesis 4:8 (KJV) And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Genesis 11:30 (KJV) But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

Genesis 25:21 (KJV) And Isaac intreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Genesis 29:31 (KJV) And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

Jeremiah 31:15 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

Matthew 2:18 (KJV) In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

Herod killed all the male children, not only in Bethlehem, but in all the villages of that city. Unbridled wrath, armed with an unlawful power, often carries men to absurd cruelties. It was no unrighteous thing with God to permit this; every life is forfeited to his justice as soon as it begins. The diseases and deaths of little children are proofs of original sin. But the murder of these infants was their martyrdom. How early did persecution against Christ and his kingdom begin! Herod now thought that he had baffled the Old Testament prophecies, and the efforts of the wise men in finding Christ; but whatever crafty, cruel devices are in men’s hearts, the counsel of the Lord shall stand.

LAYING THE GROUND WORK.

For example, in Ruth 4:17-21. We see where David connected to obed, and obed connected to Jesse and Jesse connected to David. We cannot do that for Mary. We only have the account of the angel. What the angel said to Mary in a vision and what the angel said to Joseph in a dream.

Ruth 4:17 (KJV) And the women her neighbors gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. Ruth 4:21-22 (KJV) And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, [22] And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

SON OF DAVID IS SEEM TO BE AN IDIOM.

Matthew 1:1 (KJV) The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Matthew 9:27 (KJV) And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

Matthew 12:23 (KJV) And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? Matthew 9:27 (KJV) And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. Matthew 12:23 (KJV) And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

Son of David is an old Testament Idiom that speaks of any body who is righteous. And not necessarily one who is from the biological blood line of David but from the spiritual.

THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF FAKING TO BE THE MESSIAH.

It was quite possible to fake other messiahs, but to fake the messiah which is the branch of Jehovah, known as " That prophet" Was impossible. There/WAS TOO many thing] which will have to be right. He must be crucify on a tree, and none of his bones must be broken, after so badly beaten that they make furrows upon his back. He must cleanse the leprosy which never happen before, or only one known case of any body ever get healing of such a disease. He must open the eyes of a person born blind. He must have two other person crucify with him. He must be rise from the dead. There were too many thing that have to be just correct. He have to be born in Bethlehem of Judea the house of bread. He had to escape from Egypt and had to be called out of Egypt by God. He hath to ride upon an ass colt. There were just too many things which would have to be just right. Therefore, no other person could be Jesus except him.

JESUS IS FROM THE JEWISH RACE.

However, our lord if from the Jewish race, as we will see as we study on. What we have is Mary's account, And Joseph accounts, given to them by the angel. The book of Hebrews gives us another account at to the anointed one origin.

MARY’S VISION.

Luke 1:26-35 (KJV) And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, [27] To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. [28] And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. [29] And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. [30] And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. [31] And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. [32] He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. [34] Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? [35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

JOSEPH'S DREAM.

Matthew 1:19-21 (KJV) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. [20] But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. [21] And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Concerning this genealogy of our Saviour, observe the chief intention. It is not a needless genealogy. It is not a vain-glorious one, as those of great men often are. It proves that our Lord Jesus is of the nation and family out of which the Messiah was to arise. The promise of the blessing was made to Abraham and his seed; of the dominion, to David and his seed. It was promised to Abraham that Christ should descend from him, Genesis 12:3; Genesis 22:18; and to David that he should descend from him,

2 Samuel 7:12; Psalm 89:3; 132:11; and, therefore, unless Jesus is a son of David, and a son of Abraham, he is not the Messiah. Now this is here proved from well-known records. When the Son of God was pleased to take our nature, he came near to us, in our fallen, condition; but he was perfectly free from sin: and while we read the names in his genealogy, we should not forget how low the Lord of glory stooped to save the human race.

THE MESSIAH IS NOT ONLY PRIEST BUT KING.

Christ shall not only be a King, but a Priest. He is God's Minister to us, and our Advocate with the Father, and so is the Mediator between God and man. He is a Priest of the order of Melchizedek, which was before that of Aaron, and on many accounts superior to it, and a more lively representation of Christ's priesthood. Christ's sitting at the right hand of God, speaks as much terror to his enemies as happiness to his people. The effect of this victory shall be the utter ruin of his enemies. Our lord is a priest forever after the order of one Melchizedek. No one has any record as to this man's parentage, or linage. No one knows when he died, what happen to him, are where he has been. Yet we know he did live.

Psalm 110:4 (KJV) The Lord hath sworn, and mil not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The High Priest must be a man, a partaker of our nature. This shows that man had sinned. For God would not suffer sinful man to come to him alone. But every one is welcome to God, that comes to him by this High Priest; and as we value acceptance with God, and pardon, we must apply by faith to this our great High Priest Christ Jesus, who can intercede for those that are out of the way of truth, duty, and happiness; one who has tenderness to lead them back from the by-paths of error, sin, and misery. Those only can expect assistance from God, and acceptance with him, and his presence and blessing on them and their services, that are called of God. This is applied to Christ. In the days of his flesh, Christ made himself subject to death: he hungered: he was a tempted, suffering, dying Jesus. Christ set an example, not only to pray, but to be fervent in prayer. How many dry prayers, how few wetted with tears, do we offer up to God! He was strengthened to support the immense weight of suffering laid upon him. There is no real deliverance from death but to be carried through it. He was raised and exalted, and to him was given the power of saving all sinners to the uttermost, who come unto God through him. Christ has left us an example that we should learn humble obedience to the will of God, by all our afflictions. We need affliction, to teach us submission. His obedience in our nature encourages our attempts to obey, and for us to expect support and comfort under all the temptations and sufferings to which we are exposed. Being made perfect for this great work, he is become the Author of eternal salvation to all that obey him. But are we of that number?

Hebrews 5:6 (KJV) As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 5:10 (KJV) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 6:20 (KJV) Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:11 (KJV) If therefore perfection-were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? Hebrews 7:17 (KJV) For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 7:21 (KJV) (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) Hebrews 2:17 (KJV) Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Hebrews 5:5 (KJV) So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

BELIEVE FOR THE WORK SAKE.

John 14:11 (Living Bible) Just believe it—that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or else believe it because of the mighty miracles you have seen me do.

Luke 4:27 (KJV) And many lepers were in Israel in the time ofEliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. All the miracle that our lord was doing was call "Messianic Miracles" When the Messiah comes these are the things he will do. He will heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, give sight to the blind, preach the gospel to the poor, died for their sins and rose again to sit on the right hand of God and be the eternal priest of his people and as many as look to him for salvation.

2 Kings 5:6-7 (KJV) And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy. [7] And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.

JFB Commentary.

" I must work the works of him that sent me, &c.—a most interesting statement from the mouth of Christ; intimating, (1) that He had a precise work to do upon earth, with every particular of it arranged and laid out to Him; (2) that all He did upon earth was just "the works of God"—particularly "going about doing good," though not exclusively by miracles; (3) that each work had its precise time and place in His programed of instructions, so to speak; hence, (4) that as His period for work had definite termination, so by letting any one service pass by its allotted time, the whole would be disarranged, marred, and driven beyond its destined period for completion; (5) that He acted ever under the impulse of these considerations, as man—"the night cometh when no man (or no one) can work." What lessons are here for others, and what encouragement from such Example!"

NO one did THE WORK THAT (JESUS DID BEFORE HIM.

Jesus was the only one that could tell any lepers to go show themselves to the priest, in thousand of years since it was written in the laws.

Luke 17:14 (KJV) And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

In the book title " The work of Josephus" page 913. Fourteen other person has the name Jesus during his time, yet only Jesus Christ has risen from the grave.

In the book " The words & works of Jesus Christ. By J. Dwight Pentecost. Zondervan Publishing House. Grand Rapids, Michigan 1981. Page 348. "The Pharisees knew well that Jesus had been offering the nation of Israel their covenanted kingdom. He had presented Himself as Messiah, the king. On one occasion the Pharisees came to ask when the kingdom of God would come" Yes! Many of them now that Jesus was what he claimed to be. In fact many of the top Jewish leaders of the time believe on Jesus. Among the Romans, Jesus had followers.

THE WITNESS OF THE WISE MEN.

Matthew 2:11 (KJV) And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

THE WITNESS OF PILOT WIFE.

Matthew 27:19 (KJV) When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

THE WITNESS OF THE SHEPARDS.

Luke 2:8-16 (KJV) And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. [9] And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. [10] And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. [11] For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. [12] And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. [13] And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, [14] Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. [15] And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. [16] And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

THE WITNESS OF SIMEON.

Luke 2:25-28 (KJV) And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. [26] And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. [27] And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, [28] Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Luke 2:29-33 (KJV) Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: [30] For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, [31] Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; [32] A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. [33] And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

Luke 2:29-33 (KJV) Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: [30] For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, [31] Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; [32] A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. [33] And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. Luke 2:35 (KJV) (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

THE WITNESS OF ANNA.

Luke 2:36 (KJV) And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; Luke 2:37 (KJV) And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. Luke 2:38 (KJV) And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Luke 2:39 (KJV) And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

THE WITNESS OF ELIZABETH.

Luke 1:41 (KJV) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: Luke 1:42-45 (KJV) And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. [43] And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? [44] For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. [45] And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

THE FATHER OF MARY.

Matthew 1:6 David's line in Matthew is the royal line through Solomon. His line in Luke 3:23-38 is through Nathan, another son (2 Samuel 5:14), Both lines were necessary in fulfilling prophecy. God had cursed Jechoniah (Coniah or Jehoiachin) of the royal line and sworn that no seed of his should ever sit on the throne of David and reign in Jerusalem (Jeremiah 22:24-30). God had also sworn to David that his line through Solomon would forever sit on his throne (2 Samuel 7). The only way this could be fulfilled was for Jesus, the Son of David through Nathan and Mary, to become the legal heir to the throne of David through Joseph of the kingly line (Luke 1:32-33; Isaiah 9:6-7; Rev. 5:5; Rev. 22:16). Jesus, being the foster Son of Joseph and the firstborn in the family, became the legal heir to David's throne through Joseph.

WOMEN WAS NOT RECKON IN GENEALOGY.

As women are never reckoned in genealogies, Joseph, the legal son of Heli naturally took the place of Mary in this genealogy of the natural line of Jesus Christ back to Adam. As is the rule of genealogies, the natural line always begins with the man himself and goes backward as far as can be. But in a royal line, as in Matthew 1, it begins at the source of the dynasty and ends with himself. The names of persons from Joseph back to Zorobabel (Luke 3:23-27) are not in the Old Testament because they lived between its close and the birth of Christ.

MESSIAH SHALL BE BORN OF A VIRGIN.

Virgin Birth Hebrew: ha-€almah ), the virgin—the only one who ever was, or ever will, be a mother in this way. €Almah ) is translated "virgin" for Rebekah, meaning a pure, unmarried, young woman (Genesis 24:43), and for unwedded, young women (Song 1:3; Song 6:8); maid of the young, unmarried virgin sister of Moses who was about 14 (Exodus 2:8), and of one who goes with man for the first time (Proverbs 30:19); damsels as used of young ladies playing timbrels (Psalm 68:25-26). Here it refers to the virgin mother who would have no sexual relations until after she had given birth to the Messiah (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; note, §Luke 8:19). The argument that could mean a young married woman is not supported in any scripture. In view of the plain record of Mary being a pure virgin who conceived by the Holy Spirit, it only shows unbelief and rebellion against God's Word and the perfect plan of redemption through a virgin-born Man—God manifest in the flesh—if we accept anything but what is plainly declared in Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:30-38; John 1:1-14; Romans 8:3; Galatians 4:4; 1 Tim. 3:16; Hebrews 1:5-7; and Hebrews 2:6-18.

The Hebrew: bethuwlah ( is translated virgin 38 times (Genesis 24:16; Exodus 22:17; Leviticus 21:3,14; Deut. 22:19,23,28; Deut. 32:25; Judges 21:12; 2 Samuel 13:2,18; 1 Kings 1:2; 2 Kings 19:21; Esther 2:2-3,17,19; Psalm 45:14; Isaiah 23:4,12; Isaiah 37:22; Isaiah 47:1; Isaiah 62:5; Jeremiah 14:17; Jeremiah 18:13; Jeremiah 31:4,13,21; Jeremiah 46:11; Lament. 1:4,15,18; Lament. 2:10,13,21; Joel 1:8; Amos 5:2; Amos 8:13); maid 7 times (Exodus 22:16; Job 31:1; Jeremiah 2:32; Jeremiah 51:22; Lament. 5:11; Ezekiel 9:6; Zech. 9:17); and maiden 5 times (Judges 19:24; 2 Chron. 36:17; Psalm 78:63; Psalm 148:12; Ezekiel 44:22). ) denotes an unmarried girl of marriageable age and therefore a true virgin. Bethuwlah

refers to an unmarried girl and expresses virginity of a bride or one betrothed (Isaiah 62:5; Joel 1:8). The Greek, parthenos), in Matthew 1:23 and Luke 1:27 means a maiden; an unmarried daughter; a virgin. Translated "virgin" 14 times and, in every case, it means an unmarried maiden (Matthew 1:23; Matthew 25:1,7,11; Luke 1:27; Acts 21:9; 1 Cor. 7:25-37; 2 Cor. 11:2; Rev. 14:4). This is the root word of parthenia (2), meaning "virginity" (Luke 2:36). None of these original words are used in connection with a married woman. Some contend that they simply mean any young woman, but this is not true; they mean only one who is a pure and undefiled virgin—any maid who has never known a man.

Immanuel, "God with us" (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 8:8). Emmanuel in Matthew 1:23. This verse is the only part of the prophecy that is a direct prediction of the virgin birth and the coming Messiah. The other two verses refer to Isaiah's son whom the Lord said he should take with him to meet Ahaz (Isaiah 7:3). It seems that on the way, Isaiah began prophesying of the coming Messiah and the virgin birth, then pointed to his own son, saying that he would eat butter and honey up to the time of knowing how to choose between right and wrong and that before this the kings of Syria and Ephraim would be destroyed (Isaiah 7:15-16). This happened about three years later when Assyria invaded Syria (2 Kings 16:9), and Pekah, king of Ephraim, was killed by Hoshea (2 Kings 15:30), thus fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah 7:15-16. Isaiah's son was evidently still a baby when he went to meet Ahaz; if one reads the prophecy with this in mind, it should be clear.

SEVEN FACTS ARE CLEAR.

1.That Isaiah 7:14 has nothing to do with an immediate fulfillment of some virgin having a child before Rezin and Pekah would be destroyed. Nothing in the verse speaks of a double fulfillment—a virgin in Isaiah's day and another one later; so this theory need not be considered.

2.That Isaiah 7:14 refers exclusively to only one virgin and one virgin-born child; and this is the way it was fulfilled (Isaiah 7:14 with Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:14; 1 Tim. 3:16; Hebrews 1:5-7; Hebrews 2:9-18).

3.The above facts do not do away with the required immediate sign to Ahaz regarding the protection of the house of David by the two kings being killed as in Isaiah 7:15- 16, for Isaiah's son (a mere infant) was present and served, no doubt, as the immediate sign. The virgin-born child who was yet to come was to be a sign to the house of David regarding eternal protection from all enemies.

4.Isaiah's sons are definitely stated to be for signs and wonders in Israel (Isaiah 8:18). The first son was a sign in connection with the predictions of Isaiah 7:15-16, whereas the second was a sign in connection with Isaiah 8:14.

5.We have in Isaiah 9:6-7 another definite instance of the projection of the coming Messiah child into these prophecies , it being suddenly inserted into the picture of prophecy, foreign to the idea of the virgin birth as in Isaiah 7:14. There can be no misunderstanding in either case about the coming virgin-born Son of God being referred to. So if we allow Isaiah 9:6-7 to refer to the Messiah without forcing the idea of two virgins and two children, then the same can be true of Isaiah 7:14, which cannot be applied to Isaiah's sons any more than Isaiah 9:6-7. Both are Messianic and rise or fall on their own merits. Both refer to one virgin and one virgin-born child.

6.The purpose in Isaiah 7:14 is to give Ahaz assurance of future and eternal protection to the house of David before showing him that God would also give immediate protection to the house of David as signified by Isaiah's son. The assurance that the Messiah would come would be a double blessing of assurance and the greatest of all to the house of David.

7.It is definite that Isaiah 7:14 applies to the virgin-born Messiah who was yet to come (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:34-35); and since Isaiah 7:15-16 refer to Isaiah's son as a sign to Ahaz regarding both kings being destroyed in a short time, it is only proper that we make the two prophecies of distinct coming events—one immediate and the other remote. This is a clear example of the law of prophetic perspective—seeing more than one event at the same time, like one standing on a high mountain would see many peaks in the distance without seeing the valleys between them. If one will recognize this when reading many prophetic passages a more clear understanding of them will be the result.

Prophetic Perspective. Micah 5:2 (KJV) But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Matthew 2:6 (KJV) And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

A PRIEST FROM THE ORDER OF MELCHISEDEC.

Hebrews 5:6 (KJV) As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:1 (KJV) For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

TEN FACTS ABOUT Melchizedek

1.King of Salem, ancient Jerusalem (Hebrews 7:1; Genesis 14:18). 2.Priest of God in Abraham's day (Hebrews 7:1; Genesis 14:18). 3.He met Abraham returning from his military victory (Hebrews 7:1; Genesis 14:16- 18). 4.Abraham gave him one-tenth of the spoils (Hebrews 7:2; Genesis 14:16-24). 5.Melchizedek was called King of righteousness (Hebrews 7:2). 6.He was called King of Salem, or King of Peace (Hebrews 7:2; Genesis 14:18). 7.He had no descent (Greek: agenealogetos ), without genealogy); without recorded father or mother; and without recorded beginning of days or end of life (Hebrews 7:3,6). He had a father, mother, birth, and death, but these were not recorded, so that he could be a type of Christ who was an eternal being really without beginning and ending (Micah 5:2; Isaiah 9:6-7; John 1:1-2; Hebrews 1:8; Rev. 1:8- 11).

8.He made a type of Christ, so that Christ could be made a priest after his order (Hebrews 7:3; Hebrews 5:6,10; Hebrews 6:15-20; Hebrews 7:1-10,15-21). As God Christ was not begotten, was not God's Son, and had no birth or death. Only as man did the second person of the Divine Trinity have a begetting, a father, a mother, a birth and a death (note, §Acts 13:33).

9.He was an ordinary man (Hebrews 7:4). 10.He was greater than Abraham (Hebrews 7:4-7). Twofold Purpose of Paul: 1.To show that Jesus Christ was the Person prophesied of in Psalm 110, which psalm the Jews uniformly held to refer to the coming Messiah 2.To answer the objections of the Jews against Christ's priesthood on the grounds that He did not come from priestly stock and could not be the antitype of Aaron or fulfill Leviticus 21:10-15. From the Jewish viewpoint Christ would be further disqualified because: (1)No proselyte could be a priest (2)No slave could be a priest (3)No bastard could be a priest (Jews accused Him of being illegitimate) (4)No son of a Nethinim (temple servant of the priest) could be one (5)No man whose father exercised a base trade such as the carpenter trade. Many Jews considered Him unfit to be a priest because of this. Here Paul shows that it was not necessary for the priest to come from a particular stock, for Melchizedek was a priest of the most high God and not from Abraham or Aaron: He was a Canaanite. Jews considered any person not in the regular genealogies of Israel to be without father and without descent or genealogy. Then, too, Jews considered Melchizedek to be without father and without mother because he was a righteous man and should not be classed with the heathen. This special phraseology was not uncommon when a person was unknown or obscure. Such was their way of signifying that the parents were unknown.

not from whence he is. [30] The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvelous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Mary and Joseph was from the house of David which mean they were from Bethlehem, or from that providence. From that linage mean from that same blood line. Joseph would not marry to Mary if she was not from the same linage. Luke 2:4 (KJV) And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

Therefore, the saint from ages past who rest in their graves can rest in peace. We who are still alive and are preaching the gospel can preach it with assurances and boldness. For he is not here, he is risen. We stand upon solid rock; the foundation of our faith is sure and secure. This is not man's doing, but God. The scriptures say "The lord gave the word, and great was the company of those who publishes it" This is the wealth of Israel, and this is my wealth. What more do I want? I already got my revelation, I have met the master. I do not want any more proof. Because we have beheld His glory. I cannot help but cry.
