I often wonder why Christians seem to do good for years, and suddenly one tragedy, bring them down like how an hawk, would bring down a wounded mice. One disappointment; one broken hearted causes them to turn against God. Then you hear them ask “ Why me God? Why lord? Why this happen to me? Where was God? Then the person turn against God, and begin to hate ministers and other Christians whom they once had fellowship with. As time goes by they begin drift further and became agnostic. The reasons are numerous. In this article we want to look at a few mistakes that such believers make. You and I cannot serve God if you do not know how God work. You and I will never win a battle if we had no battle plan.

Hosea 4:6 (KJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God,---.

GOD SPIRITUAL MORSE CODE.

Every time a believer is about to make a mistake, that will have serious consequence, the spirit of God, sent a warning to that believer. The more severe the mistake is, is the more severe is the warning. The problem is that most believers turn of the receiver. There are certain sins that turn the receiver off.

In the year of our lord 1941, England is the only undefeated European nation who can stand up against Nazi Germany. But the most powerful battleship in the world, Germany Bismarck, is the fastest and has more fire power than any thing Britain can throw against it, and it’s headed toward the North Atlantic. This juggernaut of destruction must be stopped, and Winston Churchill himself gives the order to the Royal navy “Sink the Bismarck at any cost” Britain has to go back to the drawing board many time to see what mistakes they are making why they cannot sink this ship and put an end to the war. The German said that ship is un-sinkable; some how British fighter bombers must have believe that propaganda. They have to come out of that mind set, and said it can be sinking and we are going to do it.

After the lord save a person there are some things that the person must do on their own. All the work is not just up to Jesus. You must develop a different mind set, from the one you have before you were converted. Not a holier that thou mind set but a new mind. If you do not developed the new mindset God will not even process your requests. When we get a new job we try to conform ourself to our supervisor’s wishes, and conduct ourself in a way that will pleases them. God will take no less.

To help a drowning person you might need to get in the water. To teach a novice you need to go right where the novice is making the mistakes and point out his or her mistakes, so they can see the pit fall and avoid it in the future. The problem are, people resent there mistakes being pointed out. When a person is converted to Christianity, they came in with a lot of mistakes, which was downing their life, and these mistakes need to be corrected before their life can be better, the dead flesh must first be cut out, before healing will take place. To help people you have to point out the mistakes that they are making, and people resent this. “ You are trying to tell me if I did act differently my wife would not have left me” At the same time you the preacher did not even know that such a person was ever married.

You do not need to believe in a doctor for the doctor’s medicine to work for you. It is the same thing with God even a sinner can benefits just by applying the teaching to their every day lives. Find out what the scriptures say about a given situations and do it. One Christian leaves his $40000 a year job, saying the Holy Spirit told him to do it. Maybe he think he can go home and eat paper. Some Christians hears voices talking to them and they do not questions the source of the voice, to see who is behind that voices. Then see if what the voices said is contrary to the scriptures. They feel extra special to hear a voice, failing to know that every body hears voices. Another one went to buy $200000 home, by faith they say, but the job cannot provide for that mortgage. Failing to see that the scriptures teach that you must count the cost.

Luke 14:28 (KJV) For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counted the cost, whether he has sufficient to finish it? Luke 14:29 (KJV) Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Luke 14:30 (KJV) Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

BRING OURSELF IN ALINMENT WITH GOD KIND OF THINKING.

One of you will have to change and God is not going to change.

DO NOT ESTABLISH YOUR OWN RIGHTOUSNESS LEARN WHAT GOD REQUIRE OF YOU FIRST.

Romans 10:3 (KJV) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

START PERFECTING LOVE.

1 Peter 5:10 (KJV) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

God will live his life in and through you, by making the belivers perfect, but not until you and I first perfect love. Why should God give a person power to live holy who has no love? What good is it going to do them? If you have no love for others, then even if you give your body to be burnt it will profit you nothing.

1Jo 4:20 If anyone boasts, "I love God," and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won't love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can't see?

WHY THEY GET MAD AT GOD.

(1) DISOBEDIENCE.

A lady friend of mine got save when she was young in Haiti, she told me that the lord told her never to fall in love and never to get married. On coming to the United States she fall in love and get married, the same night her husband take her home he gave her HIV. She would want to ask. Why lord but cannot, because she was told by the lord not to.

PEOPLE EVENTUALLY GET MAD AT GOD.

Because they did not give their faith any foundations. And because their faith has no foundation, when the storm of life came along it crumbles.

2 Tim. 3:16 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Doctrines, reproof, correction and instructions in righteousness. The Christians are just at the doctrinal sections of the word of God. If a preacher ever preaches the correctional reproof section of the scriptures the church goes empty.

(2) FAILING TO UNDERSTAND THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD.

Romans 8:28 (KJV)And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A friend of mine was working with a bauxite company in Jamaica. One day something happen that he could not turn up for work. He was upset that such thing happens. Because of his absent, his supervisor put some body to work in his place that day. The same day the place blew up and the person who works for him was killed. He is a father of many children, and God seem to spare him. Each believer has to know that God is in control and there could be some thing that you are being save from. Find out what bring on the situation. Did you sin? Did you deserve it? If you did not deserve it, then maybe God is using circumstances to do guide you away from trouble and guided you into his will.

(3) LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.

Some Christians are very pigheaded, they come to church and do not want to hear the word, all they want is a word of prophecy, somebody prophesy over them. Some black women, pick up a child molester and brought him home to be her husband. “ He is light skinned pastor, he is light skin” But this light skinned brute has got a long history of child molestations and women beating, and you still want to bring him home? “ But him is light skin pastor”

(4) DRAW NEAR TO GOD WITH THEIR MOUTH.

Jer 29:13 The Message Bible. "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, When a man is dealing with a woman, the women has a way to look deeply into the man’s eyes to see if he is really has feelings for her.

God know if you has feelings for him because your actions show it.

1 Samuel 2:3 (KJV) Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

GOD WILL NOT HELP EVILDOERS.

THE UNFORGIVER WILL NOT GET FORGIVNESS.

DOUBLE MINDED PEOPLE WILL NOT GET ANY THING FROM GOD.

WE CANNOT SERVE GOD AND HAVE NO FAITH.

LEARN TO RECOGNIZED GOD OTHER SERVANTS.

Psalm 68:11 (KJV) The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

You and I alone cannot work for God, we must learn to recognized each other and stop spreading rumors on each others.

Luke 9:49 (Living) His disciple John came to him and said, "Master, we saw someone using your name to cast out demons. And we told him not to. After all, he isn't in our group."

GOD DID NOT ANSWER THEIR PRAYERS BECASUE.

If the scriptures teach you how to fix a certain problem, it makes no use asking God to fix it. God will never fix something that he already laid down information on how to do it.

One of the main reasons why some people do not get their prayers answer is because they are acting like a horse and a mule. The mules were not given understanding but we got that from our creators and will not use it.

Psalm 32:9 (NASB) Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you.

1 The Holy Spirit can be resisted Acts 7:51. His people who are rebellious can resist the Holy Spirit. We resisted the holy spirit when we resist the authority that he places over us. Acts 7:51 (KJV) Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. 2 Tim. 3:8 (KJV) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 2. Tempted (Acts 5:9) We temped the holy spirit when we temped or provoke those in whom he dwell. Sometime Christians provoke each other and lay stumbling blocks in each other way. What we do not know, it that we did it to the Holy Spirit.

When we cause other believers to start treating us bad because we first start it, that is also tempting God. The spirit of un-gratitude causes other to develop a spirit of inconsideration. Acts 5:9 (KJV)

7. Quenched (1 Thes. 5:19)

HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN.

Many people went to court each year and received a terrible sentences from the judge, and because they have no knowledge, they did not know that they could have ask the court for mercy or leniency, and end up knocking off a few years just by asking, it is the privilege of every citizen. Many people died and went to hell and never have the nerve to even ask God for mercy. Is there mercy for a hopeless sinner who has hurt all mankind? Yes!

Isaiah 7:11 (ASV) Ask thee a sign of Jehovah thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. Isaiah 7:12 (ASV) But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.

Ezekiel 18:32 (ASV) For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord Jehovah: wherefore turn yourselves, and live.

First you must recognize that you are a sinner and need God mercy.

Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Then you must know that God sent his son Jesus to die for your sins.

You must believe that there is a God.

No other person can save you except Jesus.

Then you must know that God invites you to come to him.

Isaiah 1:18 (Living) "Come, let's talk this over!" says the Lord; "no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool!

Do not wait until tomorrow to get save.

2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is] the accepted time; behold, now {is] the day of salvation.)

Delay not your conversion to the lord, put it not off from day to day. Remember that tomorrow is promise to no man. Accept the lord, go home and continue with your life, if the lord.. If the lord saves you in bad life style, he has some plan up his sleeve how to get you out of it, give him time to work out his salvation in your life.

OUR BODY WAS NOT REEDEM AT CONVERSION.

Romans 8:23 (GW) However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God's gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies {from sin}.

Rom 8:21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Rom 8:23 And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

OUR VILE BODY WILL BE CHANGE AT THE RETURN OF JESUS.

Philip. 3:20 (KJV) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Philip. 3:21 (KJV) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

THE SINS OF THE BODY WILL NOT BE CONQUERED LITERALY BY ALL SAINTS WHILE LIVING ON EARTH.

2 Cor. 5:10 (NASB-U) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

When the Lord redeemed us our body was not redeem, it was our spirit and soul. The changes took place in our spirit man. Not the body. The body will still continue to sin. If the believer do not know this they will become worried as to why am I still lusting? And became eaten up with guilt to the point where they experience no peace and joy.

Even though our body were not redeem, we who wanting to live up to certain standard, to please society, must bring our body into subjection, even thou we do not do that to buy salvation. But to prevent Satan from capitalized on it. But to bring this body into subjection take time. We saw belivers at the judgment seat of Christ in heaven being judge for the deeds of the body.

1 Cor. 9:27 (NASB-U)but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

2 Cor. 2:11 (NASB-U) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

Romans 12:1 (GW)Brothers and sisters, in view of all we have just shared about God's compassion, I encourage you to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, dedicated to God and pleasing to him. This kind of worship is appropriate for you.

2 Cor. 12:7 (NASB-U)Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!

SOME THING YOU OVERCAME IT BY IMPUTED GRACE.

HOW TO CONTINUE IN THE FAITH.

Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

The first thing you will need to know is this. Beware of people who come laying hands on you say they are filling you with the Holy Ghost. That is how people get possess with demonic spirits. God will give you every thing you need to fit you out for his service in his own times. You do not need to push any thing nor to make any thing happen. Wait until God make it happen.

A NEW MIND-SET.
