By Dr. J. A McBean.Th., MCC
E very man has a time when he wants to know if God is for real. Is there really a God? And if he lives, where is he? To seek for God it is important for the seeker to know that God is not the one that is lost. The seeker must start out seeking God in sense faith, before a revelation is given. You cannot seek God with an attitude. You cannot smoke God out of his habitation, as you would drive out a rabbit out of a hole. You have to go humble, and call. And you do not have to call long because he is not far from any of us.
Acts 17:27 (KJV) That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Acts 17:28 (KJV) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
START OUT WITH NATURAL FAITH OR SENSE FAITH.
Isaiah 59:1 (KJV) Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
EVERY MAN HAS SENSE FAITH.
THE SENSE FAITH CAME FROM WHAT IS SEEN.
Romans 1:19 (KJV) Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. Romans 1:20 (KJV) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
POLICE CALL THIS HUNCH.
“SEEK ME AND YOU SHALL FIND ME”
Job 35:10 (KJV) But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; Job 35:11 (KJV) Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
GOD WILL NOT RESPOND TO THE PROUD.
1 Peter 5:5 (KJV) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
START OUT SEEKING GOD IN SENSE FAITH.
Isaiah 55:6 (KJV) Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
WHOSOEVER, WHOSOEVER, SHALL CALL.
Romans 10:13 (KJV) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
1 John 4:19 (KJV) We love him, because he first loved us.
GOD WILL TOUCHED YOUR HEART THIS DAY.
I will ask you to bowed your head now and say a little prayer, just for the fun of it. Let us put this God thing to the test and see if it works for real.
Say “ Lord I am a sinner, need to be save, I have sin against humanity and against you. Please save me now from my sins. Cleanse me from all my sin with the blood of your son Jesus. Reveals yourself to me now. I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Dear friends if you did not feel a peace come over you such as you have never known since you were born, you need to say this prayer again and say it with feeling this time. We can sing with the songwriter “I surrender all, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed savior, I surrender all”
SOMETIME ONLY CHRIST CAN HELP US
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
LOOK AT THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING A CHRISTIAN
Romans 3:23 (KJV) for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Galatians 3:22 (KJV) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A GOD.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD IS READY TO FORGIVE HIM.
THE SINNER MUST BELIEVE THAT CHRIST DIED FOR HIM.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Cor. 15:3-8 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: [5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: [6] After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. [7] After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. [8] And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
MUST BELIEVE THAT GOD CAN KEEP HIM
Jude 1:24 (KJV) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
PERFECTING THE SAINTS IS A WORK OF GOD.
THE SINNER MUST KNOW THAT ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE THEM.
THE SINNER MUST MAKE A DECISION TODAY.
2 Cor. 6:2 (KJV) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
BOW YOUR HEAD AND PRAY THIS PRAYER.
We can sing with the song writer" I rise walk in heaven’s own light above the world and sin with heart made pure and garments white, and Christ en-throned with in. The cleansing stream I see I see I plunge, and O It cleans-eth me. O praise the Lord, it cleans-eth me, it cleans-eth me yes, cleans-eth me."
DROP ALL PRE-CONCEIVE IDEAS OF CHRISTIANITY.
FIRST HUMBLING YOU.
If you stop sins and get holy before God’s timing you will begin to boast how it is your own magnetism got you so far, then you became a source of discouragement to others. Therefore, you are going to stuck upon a sin or two. The sin always getting the better of you. This will push you to always accept God’s grace, and to see your own frailness.
1 John 1:8 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
TO CONTINUE GROWING IN GOD.
2 Peter 1:5-10 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.
All a baby need to do to grow is to feed. You will have to learn to feed yourself. Many pastors cannot feed the sheep. Continue visiting our website for free materials. Feel free to email us for additional resources.

Col. 3:8 (Living Bible) but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language.
GET A GOOD BIBLE, FIND A GOOD CHURCH.
Hebrews 10:25 (Living Bible) Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
