How To Turn Your Curse Into A blessing

By Dr. James. A McBean D.Th., MCC
I t is said. “When nature throws you a lemon, use it to make lemonade” For example, if my reader is a woman and you have a big backside, instead of complaining about it and make yourself sick over it, why not turn it into a blessing. Go among the men that find that kind of body style attractive. If you are a Christian and your church members do not like you, why not go among the people that like you? Instead of complaining about people that do not like you, why not seek out those that like you? If you cannot find anybody to employed you why not try to employ yourself? If you are a preacher and your church community will not share ministries with you, why not try to set up your own ministry? Sometime you need to leave the people you know behind and set out to seek friends among other people. You and I will never get any thing good out of people that envied us. Find a way to turn your curse into a blessing.
2 Samuel 16:5-10 (KJV) And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came. [6] And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left. [7] And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial: [8] The Lord hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the Lord hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man. [9] Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head. [10] And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
SOMETIME ONLY JESUS CAN HELP US
Romans 5:6 (KJV) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:7 (KJV) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:9 (KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:10 (KJV) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:11 (KJV) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Matthew 6:33-AV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
