The Secrets Of The False Prophets

By Dr. J. A McBean.Th., MCC
O ld Testament prophets’ primary duties were to predict, or foretell future, past, and present events. New Testament prophets expound upon those predictions. The duties of the prophets were to bring God’s word to his people. The false prophets’ jobs were to see to it that the ministries of Genuine prophets become of none effect. By blanketing the place with so many false prophets, that the genuine prophet became strange when his or her doctrines are heard.
Why did the Israelites turn back from serving God so many times, in light of all the goodness God bestows upon them? Before the Noahic flood and after, Satan employs the service of Giants to fight against God. After the Giants were killed out, Satan needs another group of agents to fight against God’s and his people. Therefore, Satan employs three groups of prophets, and has blankets the Old Testament era and the New Testament churches. The false prophets, the foolish prophets and the good prophets who are not spiritually feeding the people, but are more concerns with filling their own pockets. These three groups outnumber the genuine prophets who are doing their duty. In some cases the people do not like the spirit of the genuine prophets.
Jeremiah 20:2-6 (KJV) Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord. [3] And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The Lord hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magor-missabib. [4] For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. [5] Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. [6] And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies.
The Israelites were listening to the false prophets, which were more in numbers than the genuine prophets.
2 Peter 2:1 (KJV) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
The False Prophets Has Learn A New Trick.
Satan and his group of false teachers have learned a new trick since first John was written. Both, Satan and his host are verbally confessing the resurrections of Jesus, when it is in their benefits to do so. It is now a right of passage for demonic spirits to enter the church posing as the Holy Ghost.
James 2:19 (KJV) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Believing in God is no proof that you are justified by faith alone, for even devils believe without justification. Even so, any spirit inspiring any teacher to deny the incarnation, His passion, death, physical resurrection, and physical ascension to heaven is not of God, and is antichrist (1 John 4:2-3
(2) Genuine Shepherds That Was Not Doing The Job.
Ezekiel 34:10 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
When God is against any one person or group He has a just cause, and it is always the same—sin. Though sin may vary in kind it does not vary in essence. Many centuries had come and gone by this time, and God had longed to favor the people many times with His richest blessings, but they would not permit Him to do so. They sinned and rebelled until He had to destroy them, as seen in 2 Kings 17 and 2 Kings 25.
(3) Foolish Prophets.
(4) True And Genuine Prophets.

Six characteristics of false prophets:
SOMETIME ONLY JESUS CAN HELP US
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
