Where We Christians Made Our Greatest Mistakes

F Do you ever wonder why the Church is so powerless today? Why the apostles and another saints seem to find God, see angels, does healing, drive out demons, predict future events, and even changes the courses of natures? While we today has more tools to our advantage and still seem to be accomplishing lest in comparison to what the apostles accomplishes? There are two basic reasons. One we are sinning against the Holy Spirit. Two we received spirits that claim to be the Holy Spirit but are not.
When a person is brought into a saving knowledge and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus turns the person over to the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Now! The Christians must learn to communicate with the Holy Spirit or Know when the Holy Spirit is trying to communicate with him or her. Also! There are three other groups of spirits which imitate the Holy Spirit. The same way the Bible told us that there is false Christ, there also false holy spirits. The first group of fake holy ghosts is call the “spirt of divination” The second group is call, “The spirit of familiarity” The third group is call, “The spirit of infirmities”
The spirit of divination, preaches and teaches, and is the spirit which all branches of fortune telling and fake prediction came from. This spirit speaks nice things about Jesus, so it seems to the immature mind. For example, this spirit can add so much to holiness, that he put a ban on wearing of perfume, reading of news papers, listening to radios and watching TV. When he finishes preaching everybody backslided and says. “We can never live up to this standard of holiness even if we try.” You and I would be surprise to see what they upheld as sacred and what they left out. The spirit of familiarity is a friendly demon. This is going to be one of the nicest sweety people you came upon. But, wait until you get to know them or found them out. This spirit can creep up under you, and make you trust them in a few minutes. The spirit of infirmities makes the people sickly. You notice in some churches everybody in there is sick.
Knowing The Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 (KJV)But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Resisting The Holy Ghost
1. Resisted (Acts 7:51) One of the sin that Christians commit against the holy Spirit is to resist him. But, how does one resist the Holy Spirit? To resist is to fight against. When we fought those in whom the Holy Spirit dwell. We resist the Holy Spirit when we resist those whom he set over us. We have to be very careful how we keep seeing man as man. For example, the men in Acts 7 who killed Stephen, thinking the things which Stephen was saying was his own thing.
Acts 7:51 (KJV)Ye stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Rebellious children of rebellious parents of many generations. The Holy Spirit deals with rational souls and works upon the intellectual and moral faculties in order to enlighten, convince, and persuade. If man closes his mind to light, his will to reproof, his conscience to righteousness, and his emotions to his best good, then he reverts to total rebellion and must face the harvest of eternal hardness.
Tempting The Holy Spirit.
2.Tempted (Acts 5:9)We tempted the Holy Ghost when we set up traps for the people that he is using. When we do sinister things just to see how long it will take the child of God to find out what we are up to. We think we are playing game with the pastor or certain Christians, while failing to see that the Holy Spirit takes those things personally. Some believers put empty tithing envelopes in the offering plate, puling a prank on the pastor, so they think.
Lying To The Holy Spirit.
3.Lied to (Acts 5:3-4)When we lied to our own conscience, we are sometime lying to the Holy Spirit. We lied to the Holy Spirit when we Lied to those in whom he dwell.
Grieving the Holy Spirit.
4.Grieved (Ephes. 4:30) We grieve the Holy Spirit when we grieve the people in whom he dwell. We saw how the people grieved Moses in the wilderness.
Quenching The Holy Spirit.
5.Quenched (1 Thes. 5:19) To quench mean to cool down. We quench the Holy Spirit when we tried to cool down a zealous believer. What the people in the church always done to me when I newly started to preach, was to invite me to preach, when I turn up they let somebody else preach. As times goes by, the Holy spirit-started reveal, when the invitations were a trap. I must preach Sunday and if by Friday I still do not get a sermon from the Holy Spirit I begin to suspect that something is wrong. By Saturday Night the Holy Spirit would tell me it is a trap. “They are not going to let you preach”, “ They are calling you over to curse you out in the form of a sermon.” I went over on purpose to see it. And so it was. They loose the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon their life in the process, and became like the old prophet in 1 Kings 13.
Vexing The Holy Spirit.
6.Vexed (Psalm 78:40; Isaiah 63:10) Vexing the Holy Spirit is when they did many things to other believers. Smiting their fellow servants. And when it seems like it is having no effect on the believer that they are persecuted. They continue doing worst to worst always adding sin to sin. Finally, they get the believer that they fighting down and out. If the believer refuses to run, they will get him or her in the end. I have seen it happen. I went to one Bible school in the island for three years, five evenings per weeks. They beat upon me for three years, finally, they planned that after graduations they will not give me any documentation. They make me walk in the graduation, but never gave me a documentation. That one act was the final straw that cut me down for many years. After coming to the United States I went back to Bible school and graduated with three degrees plus a doctoral degree in theology. Thank God for the good old United States. Today I do not bother picked up certificates and diplomas from schools. I had too many of those.

Thirteen offices of the Spirit in John
How does the Holy Spirit communicate with a believer? He communicates to the believer through the written and spoken word. The Holy Spirit creates a doubt in the believer when he or she is going wrong. He created a burden in your spirit when he wants you to do a certain task, while giving you a free spirit to accomplish the set task.
What The Holy Spirit Come To Do For Us.
As you read through the bible, you will come to the conclusion that the bible is trying to promote relationship between people and people and between God and people. When the genuine Holy Spirit comes into people lives, he pull down the barrier of such division and make it possible for people to understand and love each other. If this is not happening among people, who claimed to be filled with the Holy Spirit, the validity of such in filling needs to question. The spirit of divination, spirit of familiarity, and the spirit of infirmities is come to make the thirteen qualities mention below in active.

11. Chief Witness for Christ (John 15:26; John 16:13-15; Acts 1:8)
12. Convincer of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8)
