Should A Christians Engage In Activism?

By Dr. J. A McBean.Th., MCC
Judges 17:6 (KJV) In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
It is important for Christians to know that, none of us can change people outside of the word of God.
2 Cor. 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
To champion the cause of abortion. Such as pro-life or pro-choice, is all well and good, but people are going to do what was already in their hearts to do. Woman’s liberation, gay’s rights, workers rights, animals rights or any other rights that we champion, is not going to change people, and you and I run the risk of getting our characters tarnish, and family members kill over something that we cannot put a dent in. If you championing the cause of gays rights, you are going to be dubs a gays calibrator. It is best to let people from that community fight out their own quest. In fact they do not even need out help. It is important for Christians to know that Championing any of these topics is not necessarily preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you get hurt in the process, you have thrown away your life for peanuts. If you cannot sing for Jesus and his cause, it better not sing at all. If a Christian wants something to do, why not sponsor homeless children, pregnant teens who have no place to go, young boys who have not trade? All of these are good causes. Hundreds of children in brazil living in the street, champion that.
Job 32:1 (KJV) So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
SOMETIME ONLY JESUS CAN HELP US
Isaiah 55:6-AV Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:7-AV Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
